Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day is another nice rainbow over a local community near Corozal taken by Matthieu Bertholon.
As of 7:15 a.m. many locations on the west side have already gotten almost an inch of rain. We haven’t gotten enough sun to see rainbows yet, but hopefully that comes as we get to midday.

Here is our 7:15 a.m. satellite. We can see storm clouds especially over the west side. The storm tops are being pushed northeast by upper level winds but the rain itself is slowly drifting to the west. We will have scattered showers around today, but periods of sun, especially midday and afternoon.
The forecast is similar tomorrow and Thursday.
Thursday night into Friday we get a norther that will bring some steady, occasionally heavy rain Friday into the weekend.

Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: Our winds this morning are mostly from the northwest around 10 mph, but the seas are stubbornly choppy at 3 feet. We still expect them to calm a bit during the day to 2-3 feet. Winds will be quite light tomorrow and Thursday from the west/northwest 3-8 mph and seas around 2 feet, maybe 1 foot at times. Our norther Friday into the weekend will bring 15 mph north winds, but seas should only get up to 3-4 feet.
