Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Dian Lynn in West Bay. All of us got some good downpours overnight, with 3 inches in Utila, 3.6 inches in Oakridge. 2.3 West Bay, and 1.4 inches in Guanaja, just to name a few. We will continue to have scattered showers, but they should decrease midday into the afternoon.

At 6:30 a.m. we have a storms to the east of Guanaja, but those are moving to the northwest and weakening. We will keep a chance of scattered showers through the morning but we should have peeks of sunshine through the midday and afternoon, with good chances of showers increasing overnight. Tuesday looks to be a drier day this next week, but otherwise we will continue to have scattered showers, espcially overnight and early mornings. As we start to move into September, things look drier.

Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: We wake up to east winds 5-10 mph and seas 1-2 feet. We should continue to stay in that area and the winds and seas for the week ahead look great. Keep in mind that thundershowers can whip up seas quickly.

If it’s Sunday it must be Lobster Day at Ikigai by Robby Molina. Go check out their special and try some of their great side. Susan is a huge fan of their Street Corn appetizer.

Lowest tide is 8 a.m. Have a great Sunday!
