Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Linda Vanasse and shows a kitty enjoying the sunrise in “Catabash Bight.” We’ve had a dry 24 hours, but things should be getting wetter this evening.
On satellite this morning we have mostly clear skies, but we see thundershowers on the Mosquito Coast and those will be headed our way, especially late afternoon into the evening. We’ll give ourselves a 60 percent chance of rain this evening.
Tomorrow and Wednesday we will have 40 percent chances of showers, especially overninghts and early mornings. Late week into the weekend, those chances go down to 30 percent.
Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: We wake up to east winds 15 mph and seas around 3 feet southside. Our winds and seas should stay right around there today, getting up to 20 mph and 3-4 feet this evening. Watch out for the possibility of higher winds in squalls if we get storms this evening.
Through Wednesday we will have daytime winds around 15 mph and seas 2-3 feet and nighttime winds 17-22 mph and seas around 3 feet.
Late week into the weekend winds and seas look calmer.
