Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Jeff Bodin taken off French Key Point and I have to say I’m jealous. I’ve been snorkeling and diving Roatan for about 7 years and have only once seen a turtle. We have some storms passing through Guanaja at 7:20 a.m. We’ll see if they can hold together long enough to get to Roatan.
Here’s the satellite at 7:20 a.m. and you can see the storms that have passed Guanaja giving them nearly half an inch and are trying to head to the big island. There is some thunder so watch out through the morning hours.
Here’s the radar view. Chances of rain this morning get lower the further west you go. Rain chances will continue through the weekend, especially in the overnight and morning hours.
Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: We start the day with east winds 15-20 mph and seas 3 feet. Winds and seas will calm slightly to 15 mph and 2-3 feet midday, but get back to 20 mph and 3 feet overnight. That cycle will continue through the weekend, but watch out for gusty winds and wavy seas when you catch a storm.

It’s always a great time for a rack of baby back ribs from Carniceria Rosita.

Low tide today was 6 a.m. and tomorrow it will be 7 a.m. Have a great Thursday.
