Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from Kristen Rush on the South Shore of Utila and shows a nice storm cloud near the mainland coast. Ironically as of 7 a.m. Utila is the only location not to show any rain this morning, but that can change.
Here is the satellite from 5-7 a.m. today. You can see much of the rain we had this morning is trying to move northwest. We still have scattered showers over the islands and there is a big squall to the southeast of Guanaja that is trying to build to the west. None of these storms are moving very quickly, but it looks like we will be in the clouds most of the morning and we will see thundershowers moving in and out. Clouds should decrease this afternoon, with only a 30 percent chance of a shower after noon.
We will see another chance of thundershowers tonight and early tomorrow morning, but from midday tomorrow through Wednesday chances of rain are very low and we should be mostly sunny.
Higher rain chances come back Thursday into next weekend.

Here are the rain totals midnight to 7 a.m.
Wind and Galaxy Wave forecast: We wake up to east/northeast winds at 15 mph and seas 3 feet southside. Winds should calm this afternoon to 10 mph and seas 1-2 feet, but remember this morning that squalls can cause locally strong winds and seas.
Tomorrow looks a bit windier with east winds 20 mph and seas 3 feet, getting to 4 feet in the evening southside. The rest of the week looks like mostly 15-20 mph east winds.

Today is Lobster Day at Ikigai by Robby Molina, recognized as a Top 100 chef. If you have any special requests, let him know and he will go out of his way to satisfy your palate. If you’re on the west side, it is worth the drive to French Harbour.

Low tide is 2:30 p.m. Have a great Sunday!
