Good morning, Bay Islands. We have a rainy photo for a rainy day from Suzanne Stone taken from Oak Ridge Cay. I love watching the individual rain showers out to sea. We have wind and rain on the way.

When we pull back on the satellite we can see the cold front clearly just entering our area.

This is the GFS rainfall forecast for the next 24 hours. You can see we are on the borderline of getting a lot of rain and not getting a lot of rain. The further south you are the better the chance.

Winds and seas aren’t bad at 7:40 a.m., though they have turned to the north. Around 9-10 a.m. they should start blowing around 20 mph and seas 6-7 feet are still forecast for the north side. Winds should get better tomorrow, still from the north 10-15 mph but seas should be around 4 feet tomorrow. Wednesday through Friday look much calmer, with a small breeze from the north.

Tuesday and Wednesday we will have partly to mostly cloudy skies and a few light showers around. We will have lots of temperatures in the 70s (lower 20s C) the next few days with some low temperatures perhaps in the upper 60s (around 20C) about the time the sun comes up.

We’re entering a period where there’s very little difference between high and low tide. Keep those photos coming. I have several that I have received that I plan to use in February. Don’t forget! February 1 we announce our sponsor for February’s photo of the month! This month it is $50 in Carniceria Rosita meat. Thanks so much to all our other sponsors: Ikigai by Robby Molina, Jolly Roger Roatan and Roatanpets.com. Have a great week!
