Good morning Bay Islands! Nilda Gonzales from Camp Bay sends our photo of the day looking east toward Picacho, the highest peak on the island. Don’t forget the five photos with the most likes gets into the poll for photo of the month and a $50 gift certificate to Carniceria Rosita. Today will be mostly dry, but as we get into the evening, clouds and rain will build in for the weekend.

Rain forecast: There are popcorn clouds around, so a shower this morning is possible. But the rain chances get better as we get toward nightfall. Over the weekend we will be mostly cloudy and rain will be on-and-off. The best chance for heavy rain is Saturday night into Sunday morning. Rain lingers into Monday morning, but most of next week looks dry.

Winds forecast: We start off with east winds 15-20 mph and seas 3 feet. We should calm a bit to 10-15 mph and seas 2 feet by afternoon, but winds will take a turn to the northeast. Tomorrow winds will be northeast 12-17 and seas 2-3 feet from the northeast. Sunday morning looks pretty calm, but as we get into Sunday afternoon, next week looks very windy, with east winds 20-25 mph and seas 5-6 feet as a giant wind field takes over the Caribbean Sea.

We will have a very low tide at 11:20 p.m. Have a great Friday!
