Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from James Oden at Sandy Bay. It is a spray of rays. Today will be a gorgeous and calm day for winds and seas. Next hope for a little rain is Wednesday evening into Thursday, but I think we can say winter and rainy season is mostly over for us.

Wind forecast: Look at these temperature circles with not lines coming out of them. Those are all locations showing calm winds at 8 a.m. this morning. This will be a calm wind and sea day. If you have a boat or a dive or a snorkel, get out there because this is the perfect day. Starting tomorrow into the first part of this week winds will be from the southeast 15 mph and seas 2-3 feet. Overall not too bad.

Rain forecast: We will be dry until Wednesday. On Wednesday evening a weak cold front will get close and try to give us a little rain. This is the time of year when the rainy season is dying and promising cold fronts die at the end. We are still looking for a better chance of rain Saturday into Sunday, but even that is looking less promising by the day.

I have to tell you about my experience yesterday at Ikigai by Robby Molina. We were hosting some friends from New York, including a lady that has a cooking channel with 275,000 followers each on Facebook and Instagram. They said that the pasta sauce at Ikigai beats anything they’ve had at the best Italian restaurants in New York. If you haven’t had a meal at Ikigai, you are cheating yourself out of the best culinary experience on the island!

Low tides are 5:40 p.m. and 5:40 a.m. Have a great Sunday!
